This is one of the few awkward questions that we get asked every now and then during a gathering… “Do you have any kids?”

How should we answer it? Do we say YES or do we say NO?

“YES” would normally be followed by the next question… “Where are they right now?”

We would then explain what happened to baby Seraphine and in the end, everyone would feel awkward and there would be this moment of silence…

If we answered “NO”, it would not really be fair and right because we did have Seraphine for a short time. Seraphine has a birth certificate…

So how?

One day after getting my broadband connection, TMNet never fails to do what is expected… My broadband goes down… Called Tech Support and was told that for the next seven days, I should bug the installer instead as warranty for the next seven days is from the installer…

Called installer a few times and the reply I get is… “It will be up in the next 1 hour or so…”

We’re so happy… Gerger found her way back home! She is very thin and very tired… Will write more about this later. We’re just so glad and happy she’s back!!!

We finally got our streamyx! It’s about time too… Can you believe it takes more than a month to get your phone line and broadband?!

After more than a month and having to resort to ‘contacts’ with connection to Telekom Malaysia, we finally have phone! Unfortunately, it’s just that… A phone. The line will only be activated on Monday as contractor came after office hours (Saturday is half day for Telekom Malaysia).

Broadband connection is a few days after that… Yes, even though they are from one same company, they need to visit my house twice! How very efficient…

My Gerger is missing…

We came back and she was not there to greet us. Drove around and could not find her. Neighbours said they saw her playing around on the field opposite our house in the morning (she managed to escape) but after that, she was not seen anymore…

We hope she is alright…

TV cabinet from Ikea – Besta range

Managed to assemble the above today. Got them from Ikea. Quite easy to assemble and quality seems to be quite good. It is actually made up of two pieces, about 4feet per piece. Maybe later on, we may add more cabinets on the sides, as speaker stands.

Just a quick update…

I’m back to work after being away for almost two weeks…

I’ve moved to Setia Alam. Lots to do and two weeks is definitely not enough… Still seems like so much to do and unpack… Speaking of unpacking, its impossible to unpack if you don’t have anywhere to put them in… So we got some furnitures from Ikea last Saturday. They will be delivered tomorrow.

The place is nice… Gerger moved to Setia Alam on New Year’s eve… She’s settled in now and enjoys the almost daily walks we had. But since I’ve started work, I guess the walks will be on weekends only.

If there’s any ‘complaints’, lots and lots of bugs and crawlies… But well, that’s what we call living with nature.

We are still waiting for Telekom for our phone… The standard excuse — not enough port.

Oh ya… Mrs Tai finally got herself a car!
