Washing machine…

I didn’t realise washing clothes by hand can be such a time consuming and strenuous task. Almost every night, Mrs Tai would spend about an hour doing the washing…
So, for Valentine’s Day, I got her a…

Washing machine
It’s a Samsung front loading washing machine. But seriously, Mrs Tai says that I didn’t really buy it for her but rather for myself. Her reasoning is that the bulk of clothes she washes every night is actually mine. If she does not wash for 2-3 days, I’m the one who does not have anything to wear.
I told her that with the washing machine, she’ll have more free time to do other things such as spend quality time with me… And iron the clothes… heh heh… OK, I know I’ve been lazy and not really helping out with the housework so far. Mental note: Will improve on this aspect…
Washing machine should arrive early next week…
Bye-bye Gerger

Gerger is a very cheeky girl. She is also very smart and cunning. Unfortunately, those are very bad combination… For me.
Mrs Tai and I were working on the garden earlier this afternoon while Gerger was playing by herself… She was running around disturbing us every now and then. After a while, she started to go after the houseflies flying around. She started going to the back of the garden… And suddenly, she’s next door! Yikes! She went through one small gap under the fence and she was looking back at us with the innocent look on her face… She tried to come back but could not get back through the same spot.
Mrs Tai quickly went outside and asked Gerger to come out through the gate…
And that was it… We need to properly secure our place and it looks like our best alternative is to build a wall (of at least a half-wall). We had earlier asked for a quotation and was told it would cost us about rm5k… *sigh*
I called my mum and asked her to take Gerger back for a few weeks while we sort out the house. Surprisingly, mum agreed to it. Mum came in the evening and after a few quick goodbye, Gerger was on her way back to my parent’s place. It’s going to be quiet for the next few weeks…

Gerger looks really cheeky in this photo, right?
Butterflies

We had gone to Sungai Buloh yesterday to buy more grass and flowers. Since the garden is still not really ready, we left the flowers on the porch… Saw some butterflies this morning…

See the black-and-yellow butterfly on the red flower?
It’s going to be a wonderful garden…
I’m sorry…

I have to really apologise to my friends for not keeping in touch lately. I have a lot of excuses ranging from busy with the new house to looking for Gerger (she is back, in case you didn’t know). Other times, I was just being plain lazy… But like I said, those are just excuses. I have NO good reason for not picking up the phone and calling just to say ‘Hi’. I mean, how difficult is it to just talk on the phone for even ONE minute? Not difficult, right?
So… I’m sorry for not really keeping in touch. I will work on this area and bug you guys more often… I will!
Working on the garden…

I’ve been busy working on my garden even over the Chinese New Year holidays… It’s taking longer than I expected. And yes, I never expected the task to be quite strenuous. but I’ve also been lazy. Still, I wanna get the garden done this month as it will still take a few months for the grass to completely grow…
Here’s how my garden used to look and after I have started working on it…

BEFORE and AFTER (but still need to plant grass)
And the front view before I started work…
After I have planted the grass…

Now everyday I just wish they can grow faster…
