While waiting for the Certificate of Fitness (CF), we have been looking around for a contractor to do up the grilles, kitchen cabinets, electrical wiring, etc… We have also been going around looking for lights, furniture, electrical items such a refrigerator and fans, etc…
For the first time in my life, I think I’m going to actually pay for grass! Not the one that is used to smoke, but the green thing that we see at the roadside, etc… I’m not too pleased with the cow grass and will probably look into planting pearl grass instead.
We have not decided on anything yet. We’re just looking around for the best price. We have been told that Puchong is a good place to source for lights, in particular, this place called Top Ten. As for electrical items, Puchong also comes up tops. But I’ve also been told there’s a shop in SS2 that is quite good (next to Murni).
See how it goes… Mega Sales is in August…
Oh ya, CF is expected in the next 1-2 weeks. That’s when we can officially move in or start our renovation works. Yea!
I like the concept of Ikea. Modern and reasonable.

U should take a look at the grass at my parents’ house…they are very comfortable to step on, and they don’t grow too fast. I can ask them where they got it from, and I can e-mail to u their number/address if u’d like to take a look.

The grass according to my cousin-brother-in-law is a “Taiwanese” grass…BUT, I’ve always thought it was “Australian” grass… So, dunno exactly which is it…but it’s a slow growing grass, and if fertilized, it feels like carpet. So, good luck!

oh, taiwanese grass… ya, i know what is that. there is a ‘localised’ one called philippines grass. dean has it in his place but dun really recommend it.
i kinda like these type, but being practical, i want something that is easy to maintain. was told pearl grass requires little or no maintenance.

At my parents place, my mom (who’s the gardener in the house) doesn’t fertilize and still the grass feels very good to step on. Then once in a while she’d get the gardeners on motorbike to trim them. Their other friend who has the same grass really takes care of his, and fertilizes, so his grass is very padat (if that’s the right word).
The other option…concrete the whole place and have flower beds and potted plants here and there!!! ;P hehhehehee!
